About the Fairway Firm

The Fairway Firm was founded by Maureen Ryan, an attorney and certified professional in human resources. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Washington and Willamette University College of Law. She holds a certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Washington and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

For twenty years her law practice included trials in federal and state courts, arbitration, mediation, and advice and counsel to employers on employment compliance. She was counsel for the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D. C. and clerked for the Washington State Court of Appeals. For several years, she was an instructor in Employee Relations for the University of Washington in its Human Resources Management Certificate program.

In 1998, Ryan joined The Boeing Company in its Employee Relations group. She held several positions managing employee relations and compliance programs. While at Boeing, she directed a large staff of internal investigators who addressed employee complaints of misconduct and responded to agency charges. She drafted employment policies and procedures and delivered training programs. She directed the production of customized training videos on several topics including employee standards of conduct, sexual harassment, workplace threat management and management responsibilities.

Fairway partners with experienced lawyers, workplace training vendors and other compliance and diversity specialists to offer employers a broad range of services to meet immediate and long-term strategic employee relations goals. The Firm is a licensed private investigation agency in the state of Washington.
